BAYPORT FACILITY

Our Bayport facility focuses on fractional distillation in a continuous 55 stage 3.5' diameter SS unit.  Conventional fractionation is done in our SS, 11,000 gallon batch, 20 stage, 3' diameter unit which can also run continuously.  Nova's synthesis capability is in batch high pressure reactions, especially hydrogenations, in the 500 - 1000 psi range.  The Bayport plant has a 2,500 gallon, 316SS, 1,000 psi, jacketed, agitated reactor.  A six GPM 1,000+ psi metering pump can be used for semi-continuous batch stirred reactions.  There are three 7,500 gallon 304SS, 50 psi agitated reactors available.  All equipment is computer controlled and monitored. The plant control laboratory has GC, FTIR, and wet analysis capabilities.
